Becky is my hero...

I have a friend named Becky.  Everything she touches turns beautiful.
Recently we had dinner in her home and I was blown away by the loveliness and thoroughness that is her standard.  She goes to such effort, but makes it seem effortless.

This is each person's place setting.  The small pumpkin holds grated cheese and the small cauldron holds lime wedges.

Truly the thing I most admire about my friend Becky is her graciousness.  One immediately feels comfortable because of her genuine love; it radiates from her at all times.  If I tried really hard I could set a table this lovely, BUT my real goal must be to pattern myself after her ability as a human being to set people at ease, to show Christ-like love always, and to show my love to my family by making the extra effort at least occasionally... ;-)  (well, maybe not the grated cheese in the pumpkins...)

For someone that cooks as well as you do, you don’t need to make it look so extravagant. Trust me, everyone is anxious to come to the table when you’re cooking.

P.S. I loved that monkey bread. :-)

I love little details but rarely take the time to actually do it. The table looks amazing!

I know people like that, too. It's like a gift that I can't quite get a grasp on! I just feel grateful to be their friend and keep trying to be like them. I would think you could pull it off!
