But when my family went to Hawaii I felt our experience was unique.
The highlight of the trip for me was easily our Sabbath Day. And it was anything but normal.
We rose early, showered, shaved, and dressed for church, and spent three hours worshiping with the Hawaiian Latter-Day Saints in Lahaina. There was an abundance of the Spirit present and we were richly rewarded by our attendance with them.
So far, our day seemed much like any other Sunday.
However, following our meetings we grabbed a picnic lunch prepared the night before by Erica. Our lunch also had a Hawaiian flair as the chicken for our chicken salad sandwiches had been purchased the day before at a roadside stand selling "Huli Huli chicken," freshly cooked on a grill.
