One would think after living in Oregon for 22 years I would be accustomed to rainy, dreary weather. Hmmmm...why then do I still contend with April every year. Spring sends the wonderful promise of flowers and sunshine and beautiful new leaves, and then it crashes around us with storm after storm after storm. Just when I have big plans to work in my yard, invariably my good intentions have to be put aside because of day after day of rain.
I have been doing a lot of scrapping though because the weather has kept me inside most of the time. I completed all of 2006 photos, and am well into 2007. I have even scrapped Easter Sunday! So that has been nice. Thank heavens I have a hobby that I enjoy so much. My son sent me a letter from Philadelphia today and one of his comments summed up my feelings perfectly: "The sun just makes you sooo much happier!"
Join me in my search for meaning, for worthwhile pursuits, for discovery. "Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you." --1 Peter 3:15

What All the Fuss is About!
I guess it is finally my turn to see what all the fuss is about with "blogging". I think it is time for me to come into the 21st Century, right? I appreciate the example of my sister, Wendy, for showing me the way. I also need to thank her for her faith and confidence in me. Because of her, I have had the opportunity of submitting some of my work to be published in Tiffany Mitchell's new scrapbook idea book. I really enjoyed the challenge of designing layouts based upon her sketches. As usual, everything seems to hit all at once, and that was certainly no different. I had just returned from our huge choir tour to Miami, and in between doing the trip laundry, I was busy with scrapping. There were so many other things I probably "should" have been doing. It was great, though. I loved it. I am glad to have a place to post some of my work. I don't know who will ever look at it, maybe just me, but that's okay too.
